I have to admit that this is the first time I've heard of this happening and I used to be the J*D moderator on PuristSPro. Its not a monocoque case which would fit the description of your mishap better. Which Grande seconde model...stainless steel or cera...

Hi mkt33 thanks for your comments i am the original owner and have had the watch just over 2 yrs so the warranty has most likely expired the model i have is the ceramic version i should get a response in 7 days, first hopefully to explain the issue of why...

And thanks for the clarification that it was a ceramic model Gav's post below reminded me of that situation...I think this is a (now) known problem with their ceramic execution in the GS case. It is friction set. I believe J*D will rectify this for you..t...

Had the same happened to my ceramic grande secondes some time ago and I had bought in new for less than 6 months before it happened. Posted that here too. Had to send it back to the manufacture to get it fixed. JD was able to get it fixed faster than I h...

JD fixed it without charging me as it was still under warranty. And I am treasuring the watch even more so now/. And I totally understand what the kids can do to you. ;-) Best, Gavin

And why it happened. I guess it is the design of the movement housing being held in the casing. And I also believe the ceramic case is also a factor so I do think that it may happen again.

imho the quotes provided by J*D are outrageous. The complete service...ok I understand (expensive for a time only watch but you are stuck given the nature of the problem) But the crown and buckle prices are out of norms...IIRC, the crown and buckle are pl...

And the Manufacture fixed it at no costs as mine was still under warranty. And I got it back after around 3 months. Went through my AD but they did not have the means to fix it so it went back to JD. Hope this helps and keep us updated.

just a quick update spoke to one of the customer service managers direct at J*D in Switzerland back in October and they agreed to do the repair free of charge only in conjunction with going ahead with "essential servicing" package one strange thing is tha...

Hi am pleased to report my JD Grande Seconde now fully repaired and returned JD kindly offered to repair and also perform some basic servicing FOC hopefully will last longer than 2 years!! jsc ...
