Wristscan for 23rd January - A watch you have worn in the last week
Jan 23, 2014,01:51 AM
Apologies for starting the Wristscan thread so early this week...i need to be away for the rest of the day, so rather than start it tomorrow...lets get cracking early!
This week's theme will be a simple one...."a watch that you have worn in the last week". Lets see them....
For me, I have had two....
For the start of the week it was this... Its really all about the bezel on the "bruiser" so focused in on this feature....
But more recently, I switched to this.... the 1665 Rail Dial. And obvious to see which feature figures prominently on this one..

...i'm in Rhodesia; my flight has been delayed due the snow (weird, isn't it?) so, no more 8 ball defeats for me, at least until the next football game! :) anyhow, pleasant landscape, have a nice sunday! chris

Joe, The lousy pic don't show that the strap is a black shell cordovan (CF, of course). The OEM strap is soft as butter but a never wear OEM, except from "the other chrono". Wonderful combo, IMHO. When, and if, I return I plan to post a better (and more w...
It's something you may not be familiar with called FROST! ;) Now you know how we have it here in Sweden for the bigger part of the year... Best Blomman
I believe that not even in Sweden you got temperatures so low. I'm in Chicago and outside is showing -20C (or -4F)! Anyway, more and more reasons for you to pack some watches (like one or two Pola and Snowdrop) and donate to the 3rd world poor people (Me!...
It was pretty cold here too. That's why I flipped the "Snow White" side up! Just one plane trip this week, but next week it's got 5000 miles to travel. ...
that I'll have to make do with these tributes. I know they don't compare with the originals but I don't have to worry about authenticity, servicing or provenance etc. It's not easy being a vintage collector. I take my hat off to them for being resourceful...
... black and blue GMT this week. What a wonderful feeling those first days discovering a new watch on our wrists! I have been wearing same watch along the whole week. I bough it a few months ago, but still a new one for me. I like it very much indeed. I ...
.. first I was following Blomman on his "Tribute To Week", causing changes every day of a week - this saw for me among others, my beloved TTP 68.. Next was my latest acquisition, which I truly enjoy , the Master GMT II / 116710 - The "Bruiser"; And finall...
.... one on the flight, another what I picked up over there :-) Ah, Darth and Pinot Noir.... :-) Oops, got to work! No, this is not the purpose of the trip - it was really a true business trip and this was, well, one of extra curricular activities... hone...
... with bridge bracelet + brand new Zenith strap + buckle set..... I feel sooo good as it has been on my "list" for a very long time! Thank you, Art! Ken
That Lange is quite a marvel, isn't it ? Convinced, makes a great wrist impression, - Without too much bling. .. a connoisseur piece.. All the best for your WE ! hs
We had a wicked cold air mass settle in this week.. and I thought wearing a Lange would add some warmth to the frozen air. Stay warm, everyone. Colton ...
I also sourced a set of Geophysic hands, recently. Not for mine, which is ok, but that made me smile when I saw them. I must be geophysically obsessed. Best, Nicolas
.. always enjoy them in pictures and even more in the real ! Always a revelation ! - I suppose, I wouldn't take it off for quite some time ! Well, one distant day .. Maybe.. We'll find out what this year will exhibit !.. Anyway, the Geophysic remains a lo...

The foudryant is needed to time how fast I fell for the lovely lady from the JLC booth! Best, Joe PS. Blomman's weeks selections are all just killers! ...

But the 6239 wins most times as its so easy to wear, and the trop........oh what can i say......makes me a happy man looking at it. All my other pcs are getting really jealous. Best Iceman
my other half has tasked me with wearing 2 watches this weekend that i havent worn in her presence over the last 8 months so i have no option( other than a sad slow death ) to stick with her theme. this is the first one for today and tomorrow. have a supe...
i will admit she got a bit confused by the 24 hour dial, but she prefers blingy jewellery to watches. i gave her more than she was expecting this weekend. the O&W, Benrus AND 806 Navitimer. how lucky can she be? :) best G
And happy watch honey moon Joe. Still the same for me: one love at a time. One of the 2 RM books I have with mesmerizing pictures... Have a great week-end all. Mark ...
This watch\'s 63 tubes emit light at all times and don\'t need charging like luminous watches. They are a bit 3Dimensional so can compromise the styling of the dial, but I\'m happy with the appearance of this one. It doesn\'t light up the whole room, but ...
#157/178 A fun piece, that has huge practical attributes for me, who spends much time in the sea! I am loving the carbon fiber dial, in certain light, it appears not really have a bottom, ie quite 3D! HAGWE, Cheers, Tim ...
