This used to be my steadfast travel companion: And I must admit I miss the EWC often. But now this one seems to be serving as a fine travel buddy: The VC lacks the world time function, but it is a bit more versatile and lower profile while traveling, whic...

Very nice VC...

 By: KIH : March 6th, 2014-22:34
... ...having the element of fun and versatile functionality.... Nice! Ken

The EWC not any more available , I deduct (?).. That VC is more than a great companion !

 By: hs111 : March 7th, 2014-10:23
.. For humble me , I'm mostly not sure, if the WT feature is really that much important - my most important feature is a second time zone / GMT feature.. My best & HAGWE ! hs

The GMT/second time zone is...

 By: respo : March 7th, 2014-11:39
...a more useful function than the world time, IMO. But the world time function is more romantic, shall we say. Thanks for the compliment on the VC Overseas. Best, respo

I like that VC

You can see it on my wrist in this shot, while I work the "Coffee Grinder" during a sailing race off Catalina Steering.... Here in South Africa, with my nephews in the background, at the end of the morning Game drive, time for tea or coffee in the bush......

That indeed looks like a very good travel companion !.. A bit an exuberant dial.. :))

This is my companion....for MOST travels But this one is on ALL travels. Just due to the ease of setting time without worry of timezones and t that it blends in quietly. ...

Very nice UN.. And the classy beautie of the Glashutte.. One Q may be allowed..

 By: hs111 : March 8th, 2014-07:55
.. where and how is the 2nd time zone on the UN set and displayed ? - has it something to do with the indication @ 9 (?) .. I really liked both of your pieces: set for all encounters and endeavours .. Best, hs

Precisely that

 By: rnaden : March 9th, 2014-00:34
Thanks for the kind words. They're two beautiful pieces of work and art. The window on the UN at 9 o'clock displays the home time in numerical fashion and the two pushers at 8 and 10 o'clock respectively moves the main time backward and forward in one hou...

I truly like the way you handle your travel requirements.. Not only utility makes the race

If it is for business I take the Memovox. Useful, elegant and quiet (well, at least as long as it does not ring). While on leisure trips I normally have the Fortis GMT on my wrist. Virtually indestructible, with a second timezone and sweat/waterproof. Fun...

Better not.

If I was dealing on the Chinese Wall I would be one of the poor people who carry all their souvenir and snack stuff up to the wall and then along the wall to remote towers in the hope to sell a little to the tourists passing by. That did not look like a f...
