Hi All Two candidates for me. Swatch Picnic The normal bonkers bit you'd expect from a Swatch - though always thought it could do with a seconds hand with a sharks fin on so you could have the full Jaws effect on your wrist! Poljot alarm Well its a Poljot...
... but I don't think the shark stalking the two swimmers was quite the mood that Swatch was after. LOL. But I like the twisted idea. Thanks for the madness. Andrew
One of those watches that (in theory) are great, but turn out to be greatly wacky! Which is not to imply that I don\'t like it. But I shake my head ruefully whenever I pick it up and heft its 185g. Ikepod Seaslug Alarm / Traveler\'s Automatic with revolvi...
It's heavy but seems to fit in between the bones in my wrist so is less massive than it looks. The curving-under case shape helps, as do the nonexistent lugs... ...
This Reverso without a proper lens but I am happy with the results. Strong lighting seems suited to this metal. Being mad about this watch helps me in persevering HAGWE ALL, Cheers, dreamer ...
The madness for me was going from this to this in around six years. The Reverso Grand Date seemed like an extravagant stretch, a luxurious endulgement, but a nice reward at the time I purchased it. The F.P.Journe was an impossible dream that turned into a...
.....yes, i think we all go through a little bit of that in watches. I remember the firs time I spent over £200o on a watch....it was also a JLC....and i still have it...but at the time of buying it, I was physically sweating with stress!
Firstly, welcome to PuristS and congratulations on your very first post. I am privileged to have your first post here on Wristscan!! Two lovely shots and glad to see you embrace the mad theme so well. Looking forward to seeing more of your watches on othe...
Even your user name, watchnuts, fits the madness theme! And two lovely Minerva's from the period of transition and the end of the family owned company as we knew it. You have some great horological history there and nice evolution of a movement going back...
Thanks for sharing the review, it is quite informative and interesting. Indeed one of the reasons I collected these two lovely babies was because they were produced pre-Vendome/Richemont and I really admired their historical value.
Popping through Singapore on the way to the Maldives, I had a day to kill so I spent the morning at Dempsey Hill, my old Sunday brunch haunt, and then back to Marina Bay Sands to my hotel and some shopping. Happened to enter the casino for a quick look, a...
. . . that probably a few of us can relate to. Instant cash, instant gratification; initial remorse, then full acceptance. I'm still waiting for the instant cash ;-) . . .
.... there are so many watch boutiques in and around casinos. Someone might be mad, but it's not the watch sellers. Anyway, it's a nice memory of you luck. And the Corum looks dramatic. Hope the global markets are as successful as blackjack. Andrew
A crazy collection you have here , for sure!! A big welcome for your first post on PuristS....its a great forum and I look forward to seeing more of your posts. Regards Joe
I am no expert on vintage Seiko's but what strikes me here is the wide variety of colours and dials and cases. Very nice collection. Thanks for sharing them with us. Andrew

.. this time I have been deliberating a bit, and simply said - just wanted to share a special moment which I found foolish & funny, as well.. One of my favorite shots: - the location - Rome - the point - Pantheon - the day - hot - the madness - cool Cool ...
The American 1921 drove me to madness until I succumbed to the VC Moderator's command to "Just buy the damn watch already!" The 1921 also started my own Vacheron Constantin madness, which condition only seems to become more acute after three years. No cur...
This foto was taken on the day i took the padellone from christies hk. Still with its original 60yr old strap. And if u think thats mad, i am not done yet. How many of you are willing to do this for your watch? The Padellone is Ref 8171 for those who are ...

That is gorgeous. I remember reading about Lehmann Schrammberg a couple of years ago, and then nothing. They have very little brand visibility here in Asia. I always preferred manual movements due to a lack of an obstructive rotor, but this is solved with...
...but it isn't, I took the photos at the Basel exhibition. The owner and his wife are present at the show with a small booth. I like their watches since they include a lot of interesting details, e.g. the retractable crown They also showed an interesting...
That is a gorgeous blue dial. And I love the very distinct and unique finishing. Retractable crown is a cool idea. One for my shopping list for sure. Thanks Stefan. Dean
or are they available in your region? If you come, let me know. I live in Switzerland, but I am often in the black forest region where Lehmann is located best Stefan
In Asia, you can only get them in Bangkok. I might do a Thailand diving trip this year so maybe.... I worry if I make a trip to Germany, I'll spend too much (as I am lusting for a Lang & Heyne too) Thanks Stefan, Dean
