Excellent choice !

that's THE dress watch because of the classic look. I think the Vintage 45 benefits from some complications, like moonphase or chronograph.
The white gold is very classic and understated. I have a feeling you will keep this one

Friends, As you know I have been trying to figure out which modern Girard-Perregaux I should get as my next watch. Should it be a sports or a dress watch? A simple time only watch or with one or several functions? Which metal? Dial color...? Ah, the optio...

if it could be tested for next three weeks down south ;) just to have it tested in different climate and conditions :) Great idea my friend as for your next watch I would go blue 1945 cos blue is color of love ;) Yours D
South.... You mean Göteborg...?! ;)
By: blomman Mr Blue : October 12th, 2014-12:01
Blue don't narrow it down... There is a blue option in the GP1966 line as well! As for 1945 vs 1966 - yes, I am torn here.... But this test will help me (I hope)! :) Indeed, blue IS the color of love! ;) Best, my friend Blomman
I hoped

Well, my problem is that ....

I haven't ruled out complications... 1945 with Big date and Moon Phase.... Or 1966 with enamel dial and sub second.... Chronograph.... Oh, there are so many great option! At least, I hope this wrist test will help me decide if 1945 or 1966! :) Best, my fr...
Well, I have no questions about this watch.

This is a nice offer from GP. I just regret the date, but for many, if I trust the marketing statistics, a date is mandatroy, as well as an automatic movement. Anyway, the case is great, the dial is finished with care. A good contender for those who are l...
Enamel dial 1966
By: crown comfort : October 12th, 2014-13:44
is this actually still in the current collection or only NOS available? My opnion: the plain 1966 is a lot more classic and understated than the Enamel Dial
Not sure....
By: blomman Mr Blue : October 13th, 2014-04:07
But I do know that it is still possible to find at some AD's... Best Blomman

My choice would be the GP 1966, small seconds and date... on black leather strap... Casey
...And date?! :)
By: blomman Mr Blue : October 13th, 2014-00:45
Watch out, Casey.... Vlad will come for you! ;) Best Blomman
granted, date might be questionable...
By: cshimokita : October 13th, 2014-05:30
but practicality calls - a small concession should be allowed... small seconds at 9, a personal choice because I like that configuration... Casey
Question on strap choice....
By: WHL : October 13th, 2014-10:29
I have usually seen the 1966 models delivered on alligator straps with rolled edges. Did you choose one with standard stitching or is that how GP is offering them now? Which would you prefer? I personally like the elegance of the rolled edge, but recogniz...

By: blomman Mr Blue : October 13th, 2014-10:56
I was too exited to choose which watch...! ;) This is the strap that was on the watch. Personally, I prefer without stitched edges on this kind of dress watch. Think it makes the watch look even more elegant! But not sure of GP's strategy here - if you lo...
