... one of my pendings and Grails for my collection.
I´m sure one will come sooner or later! ... But now my sights are focused on... mmmm well, you know what! (Battle/dealing will be reasumed on first week of January!)
This long Hollydays week end I had several watches in rotation, including my Rolex Date on an Oyster bracelet (full gold) which is on my wrist every 24th and 31st of December of each year since the early 1980`s. It is my good luck watch and is part of almost a rite for me to wear this watch which was presented to me by my wifey so long ago.
But having shown that Date previously, I wish to share this other timepice I have been wearing these days: it is a Submariner Tudor ref 7928/0 c. 1967 which I had not shown here previously as somehow I had not taken some decent photographs of it as it deserves yet.
I like the dial of this watch due to the color of its tritum which has changed to a greenish-gray hue, which some times shows as an stealth dial depending on how light plays on it.
Dial has the minutes in gilt and other inscriptions in white, as it is a transition form the all gilt to the later all white type of dials.
Hope you´ll like it and promise to make a better presentation of this watch in a near future.
I wish you and all our dear friends had a nice and peaceful Christmas Day, and now I wish all the best for the New Year 2015. Be it with much Peace and Good Health and of course pretty timepieces for you and your Family Nicolas, and for all our dear friends here at PuristS!
Sincerely, Abel
