Nilo's pick for Wrist Scan goes to . . .

Aug 03, 2014,15:10 PM

. . . pplater!

"Art,

Here is my vote.

On the hors-concours class we have:

a) Art's Omega, that is envied by 10 in 10 Purists.

b) Anders' Longines, that got more prizes here than I can remember.

Second position goes to:

Abel's (Subexplorer) Zenith, lovely watch with exquisite markers.

And the Wrist Scan first prize goes to:

Pplater's Heuer.  Simple, almost pure, a true Purist watch.

Congratulations to all participants.  It was hard to select those few.

Cheers,

Nilo"

Thanks for the timely assist, Nilo.  Our pm system isn't operating effectively at the moment, so I wasn't able to send pm's with confidence they would be read immediately.  That's why I asked for volunteers this week.

A special moderator's award in this category to Andrew L . . .

. . . for this exceptional submission.

Very flattered but I had no intention of 'winning'. The wristscan for me is not a contest, just the instant pleasure of sharing on the spot the watch that comes to my mind. And yes sorry, I often delete pictures sometime after having posted them. Firstly ...

Truth be told, the Friday wrist scan thread is really not intended . . .

Actually, Damjan, I gathered your intent was to limit . . .
