Hi Nilo,

Here are my choices:

For "wrist shot" of the week, my choice is Phuongpham39's Seiko.  This is the type of watch that I love for weekend or "off-time" wear -- it's rugged, and ready for anything.  I like this Seiko's design cues (this model is the military SUS, I believe), which are clearly inspired by iconic military watches.  Those who love vintage military pieces, will probably note design aesthetics that are reminiscent of the IWC Mark 11 or WWII-era watches made by the likes of Cyma for the British military.  I also enjoyed the photo itself -- the gray NATO strap against the colorful red sweater just said "autumn is here" to me!

I would also like to give honorable mentions to:

Subexplorer for the beautiful wrist shot of the red-dial JLC Grande Reverso Ultra Thin -- a watch I adore, and find very appealing on a man.  Only a really confident guy can pull off bold dial colors with flair.  Extra bonus points for the romantic Tour d'Eiffel backdrop!

and

MattS for his wrist shot of the superb Eterna KonTiki Super dive watch.  The watch is gorgeous, and one of many in his collection that I absolutely covet!

Thanks for asking me to judge wrist shot of the week.  It was not an easy task to choose from all the amazing photos!

Besides of Daos (dxboon) outstanding judgement, I believe that is worth to mention "Noodia" marvelous composition and colors with his Heuer Montreal with a beautiful background:

Stay tuned that we still need to receive the votes from our remaining judges.

Cheers,

Nilo

I was very torn, and liked Noodia's Heuer wrist shot too!

 By: dxboon : November 3rd, 2013-10:43
Noodia had the benefit of all those colors -- the unusual and charming Heuer, the orchids, the composition was all very nice. There were several other participants that I also felt were noteworthy, but I self-limited my choices to three -- otherwise I wou...

Watch of the Week goes to . . .

 By: Dr No : November 3rd, 2013-14:01
. . . Seth! There were many watches that exhibited the values I would want in a 'weekend warrior', notably Abel's red Reverso . . . . . . and hs111's vintage Omega Seamaster . . . . . . but Seth's Habring 2 embodied all of them, and added the virtue of...

The watch does meet an off-time / weekend criteria -- heck, without even thinking, I wore it today to a rowing (crew) regatta. I'm decidedly honored to have it be chosen with so very many superlative watches being put forward that I thought the Habring2 m...

Off time Wristscan session
