. . . Livius!
"Dear Art,
I have made up my mind. Here we go:
It was intrinsic to this week's wrist scan topic, that some of the photos shown were borrowed from someone else (I am referring to those where credits were given to the source). I decided for myself to disregard these.
From the rest I picked as 3rd Graham's third shot of his unfortunately gone Freak.
I was amazed by the way the movement carrier stud runs through the sapphire and how beautifully Graham worked out that 'freaky' detail which I never noticed so far.
2
nd for me is Matt's first shot of the modern Longines Diver on sunglasses.
I immediately felt the desire to know what he was doing that day and fancied which adventure he might have been experiencing. A picture tickling my imagination to its best.
My personal winner however is Livius' mysterious first picture of a Reverso dial.
It spoke to me on a very personal level because his story regarding Reversos has been my story also. Knowing it should be a Reverso but being unable to pick on from the many overlaid options the image remained fuzzy. To me his picture is a brilliantly captured metaphor for this beautiful dilemma.
Thank you to all participants for giving me so many tempting choices to pick from! And my best congratulations to the winners!
Warmest regards,
Martin"
Now that the session is over, I can divulge my initial apprehension over the topic on account of its complexity and inherent difficulty. There was a good chance of the thread failing to garner interest or responses, so my personal thanks to all who stepped up to the plate and participated.
Hope to see you all next week at this same time and place, when Nicolas will be your host. Special thanks to Martin for delivering a studious decision on such short notice.
Cordially,
Art
