Coming in 3rd place is Flamenco's Speake-Marin.
The dial and lugs are beautiful and I especially like how the inside of
the leather strap nicely complements the yellow of the watch case and
calibre.
Runner-up goes to Richard N's JLC Reverso GT.
One word: detail. Not just the details of the fabulous Reverso but also
the textured detail of the purple cushion that the watch rests on. The
mini-textile squares of this purple fabric runs in congruence with the
similarly patterned, blue green, plastic background to the left of the
watch. Of course the lines of the Reverso set themselves perpendicular
to these background lines.
The winner of this week's Static shots is…
Abel (Subexplorer)'s vintage Submariner. I love the complementing
colours…the brown tint of the bezel and the oranged hands and dial. What
sets this picture apart from the rest, however, is the marvelous
"noise" of the shot. The scratched bezel and crown…the dust-specked,
rounded crystal…all these give the watch a certain character. I see a
cigar chomping, weather-beaten, sun-burned Clint Eastwood (circa 1960's)
type of watch staring back at me.
Abel's JLC Chrono pic also deserves honourable mention.
Thanks for everybody's entries. Maybe I'll be a participant for the next WatchScan.

We need to "block" Abel (SubExplorer) with a ... German or, mere recently, a Brazilian. Now serious: Abel is a great PPro asset. Fine tastes, fine watches, great friend. Cheers, Nilo
