Thank you for nominating me to judge, it's an honor. Great turnout, with notably strong contributions from Team Omega. Here are my thoughts on Static Photo of the week.
Metal has meant different things to different civilizations since the Stone Age and this week's question - "favorite metal?" - strikes me as something humans have been considering since classical antiquity. Undoubtedly, though, how our ancestors would have interpreted this question would be grounded on wholly different preferences, needs, and wants. Fun to think about.
I loved this week's subject and submissions. Nilo's titanium Speedmaster brought the heat in a serious way, especially his 3rd photo, which prompted me to spend the next 30 minutes googling all about the Solar Impulse. Mission accomplished, Nilo. Another honorable mention goes to Damjan's rose gold FC limited edition: gorgeous watch and gorgeous photo. But where's the Healy, Damjan ?? There were also many other great submissions and several splendid wrist shots that fall outside of the static pool. Ultimately, both Dr No's and Able's eclectic Omegas came in just a tick behind...
...Anaesdoc's 'Sunday best' Omega Seamaster DeVille on map background. It captures the whimsical and historical significance of the evolution of technological progress, of which both of our subjects, metal and time keeping, play pivotal roles. As I look at the photo, I can see various hues of gold, steel, platinum, and even shades of bronze at eight o'clock. There is an answer for everyone here and it's my pick for Static of the Week.
Judge for Static shot this week will be MatthewKing, while Le Monde Edmond takes the Wristscan category and PuristSpro Moderator KIH for Watch of the Week. Good luck judges......

The Monaco is not an easy watch...I have been lurking around for about 6 years before I decided to get one. It came and stands as a piece of differenciation within my watches. Not a watch for everybody and a very misunderstood one but definitely an icon w...
Hi Joe, I took a look at all the pictures- and my vote goes to: The pink gold Patek that was taken by Foversta. It was a tough choice as they were indeed so many good wrist shots. But he captured the warmth of pink gold so well in my opinion. It also help...
Is such an alluring watch in so many ways. For the traveler in us, the adventurer and just for the pure sake of its complication which is so helpful - I love the WT as you do to Nicolas. Yours is one of my favorite examples btw. But today the winner is th...
