Verdict: Static Watch

Jul 21, 2014,01:47 AM

From JPoros ... thanks John!

[AndrewD]

This week's Static shot judging was very difficult with all the beautiful basics, but here are the winners:

3rd Place: A tie between alain2701's Lange 1815 and Henry's (halkcb) Seiko Credor. Simple and classic watchmaking from the East and the West. Nicely taken photographs as well.

2nd Place: Seeks' Swatch Sistem51 seeks both simplicity in the design of the watch and its movement. Seeks' photograph on an endless white background further communicates the clean but sophisticated nature of this watch.

1st Place: Grasso's Fortis with its stunning numeral typography on a golden dial. Modern Fortis should take note of this. The photograph nicely combines complimentary foreground and background elements to showcase the watch.

Thanks to all for their great contributions, I clicked on many posts this week.

John

Picture taken at the wrist of the watch maker him self. The result should be anything but a simple watch. Quite an irresistable picture to take as you would imagine. :-)

Congrats, Kyle! :)

Thanks a lot Blomman! [nt]

From the three judges who made the difficult decisions and to all the PuristS who contributed images and comments. Over 290 relies into the thread is very gratifying. I hope you all enjoyed this weeks WristScan as much as I did. Regards Andrew
