.. along these lines and your intro, dear Joe, I deliberated a bit:
- is it a single complication ?
( actually I don't have any watch with high- end complication(s)..
- a World Time or Geographic ? - well, to me more indication, than complication..
- moon phase calendar or TD or PC - nice, but not "my chosen " ones..
To make the long story short:
I picked a tic- tac, which is an icon, which is versatile, and offers some useful functionality,
and maybe also is a good travel companion:
To me, it's the JLC - Reverso Grande GMT !! - Why ?
- Now, just some lines, why I like her complications;
[Note pls: If in case for some , if not all of you, this is redundant info -
then just go below directly to the pics, please ! ]
- she has a nice, well readable A-side: with time (local), day/ night,
with a nice sun/ sky display and then also the big, nicely readable date in a white,
also lovely finished dial - AND she is from the timeless Reverso family..
- the verso side gives me a second- time ( home, but also vice versa ), again day/ night, an 8-day PR
and the GMT differential, which is simply operated by the two pushers above & below
the crown ( once the home time is synced in relation to GMT).
I have been travelling with her a lot, far countries, near cities, dinner and theatre
car, planes and boats - she never has let me down, since I have her
- Oddly have taken her for travel even more often than one of my Rolex GMTs,
as versatile and robust these may be..
- Well actually not quite, as one Rolex (GMT) is always with me, as well !!
Now, enough of words, here some shots, static and a WS, according to Joe's theme:
