Dear Forumners,
I cannot understand the worldwide hype about Halloween, which has spread to Europe mainly due to commercial interest in the last decade.
From what I know about it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween) there is not much reason to wish each other "Happy Halloween". Are we still old Celts dealing with daemonic ghosts, trying to intimidate them with frightening masks or to console them with our offerings (the Celts even went so far to give human sacrifices to their gods!). Even nowadays I do not feel Halloween is promoting our fellow human beings´ most noble and lovable qualities to say the least.
In Germany October, 31st is celebrated as "Reformation Day", commemorating Martin Luther and his 95 thesis against the Pope/Roman Church in 1517, allegedly on this very day, the 31st of October.
Asking your question, I will not take any watch to my grave, because time will then have ceased to exist for me as I believe. Watches are for this world, not for the eternal one.
I - like some others here - hope, that my children may choose to wear them or otherwise sell them. Destruction by burial does not make any sense for me.
This is what I am wearing today (I am travelling, so I only can send this old picture):
