Wow -- too many!

I guess that one wristwatch I regret not buying is the Datograph Perpetual, which came up on the pre-owned market a year or so ago at a quite attractive price -- but I wasn't in a position at that time to pull the trigger. Of course, there's the full range of Greubel-Forsey watches, but just as I seem to be getting into the window to afford a pre-owned one the market seems to jump again. There have been lots of other wrist watches as well that I've lusted after and passed on, but to be honest none that haunt me.
BUT -- there is one pocket watch that I was in position to own and due to an absentee bid that was just a little too low, I missed out on:

Yes, the Number 1 AP Grande et Petite Sonnerie, made by none other than The Man Himself, Philippe Dufour. Who knows when we may see another of these on the market -- and at what price. But I often sit in my office, thinking how lovely it would be to have this watch on a little stand, chiming away the quarters and hours with the voices of angels. Rats...
I can't say that I'm suffering too much, though, with other watches like today's available for regular use:
Happy weekend to all, and a blessed Easter to those who celebrate it!
Best,
