. . . but it was never a favored sport of mine, and I lived in So Cal during the '80s when Showtime was the talk of the town. Baseball and football (gridiron, not soccer) were the sports I followed growing up. I did see the Globetrotters once, way back when, but never saw any of the great Laker teams live, not even once. Yes, I watched when they were in the Finals, but not during the regular season.
Exceedingly sorry to say that his name rings a bell only because you've mentioned him before. My knowledge of the game is practically nil, but if memory serves correctly, the Nets were not a contender when the Lakers were in their prime, so I probably never saw him play on television.
