... they are part of the personality of a timepiece and they can condition the occassion we use depending our clothing or mood.
They are an important part of the charm and enjoyment of wearing a watch.
Being myself a fan of Rolex sport (tool) watches and diving watches in general, the most usual color of dial in my collection is black.
Anyway, there is a rather eclectic variation in colors in my watch case.
I couldn´t resist the haunting red of the Reverso special edition...
And I can not resist the beauty of a nice brown dial as much as I can´t resist a good chocolate...
Silver or gray can be a most elegant color, specially if it adds some subtle grain on its surface, and a touch of contrasting red...
Gray can give a very charming vintage look to a modern made version of a classic chrono...
As I already said, black is the color of most of my watches. Specially nice if they have a touch of red on it...
Black is a popular, practical and classic color for a diving watch which enhances the readability of a dial ...
But if I have to choose a particular color as favorite... I guess I would say "BLUE"!!
Rolex has several outstanding blue dials... like in this old manual wind model...
Blue can be a nice option in a diving watch...
As a matter of fact, the most beautiful blue dial in my collection belongs to a Rolex Submariner...
The deep cobalt blue changes aas he angle of light it receives changes. It is an awesome hue of blue... just sublime to my eyes!
Have a great week end Joe and all our friends at Purists!!
Cordial regards, Abel.
