Hi Mike,
I was in the consignment store with my wife looking at furniture, when I wandered over to the jewelry counter on the off chance they had anything of merit. Typically, it was full of costume jewelry and v. inexpensive used modern quartz watches...well this day it had 4 small ziplock baggies of mixed watches. Sealed, they had to be bought "as is". Well an early 1990's vintage SS Tag Formula watch with the blue plastic dive bezel caught my eye in one bag, as it was the watch my brother in the UK used to wear, and I thought it might be amusing to give him it to him, as he has two sons, and in the spirit of passing on watches to his kids, it would rather funny for me, if he had two of these!
So, in the bag upon opening it, was this Seiko! Knowing our Seiko Mod, Mr. Cazalea, who lives close by, I had to show it to him and he raved about it, so I decided to keep it for posterity. I do have to say, it doesn't get much wrist time, however it will remain in the collection.
Cheers,
Tim
