Your most unusual / uncommon watch (does not need to be expensive)
Sep 19, 2013,09:44 AM
Team,
Here we go (disclaimer - I don't own any real unusual watches, since I'm very conservative for watches):
The fist one, I'm absolutely sure, is very unusual to be on a Purists wrist.
I got it, with another two, from a seller that sold/give to me (I don't remember). Is in pure NOS state.
I wear it once and then I forgot.
It was, during the 80's, the utmost geek watch.
In B&W or I will not allowed to visit Croatia.
My wife and I are following (with millions of others) the series Breaking Bad and she was the one that notice:
"You have the Walter White watch".
Yep, now I have a reason to wear it.
Researching for this post, this watch was in another very famous movie:
"Back to the Future".
Since today "I am the one who knocks" (I will be moderating this wrist scan week), nothing is more proper:
Continuing the unusual watches, I have this Sinn U2.
It is unusual because the case, made with German Submarine Steel and treated by Sinn with a hardening process leaves the surface of the steel nearly as hard as
sapphire, rendering the watch extremely scratch resistant. They call this "Tegimented".
The unusual part is that this tegimented steel is truly scratch proof.
I have this watch for a long time and the case don't have a single scratch, ding or anything.
I acquired pre-owned, used it for some time, sold it, acquired again, sold again and acquired again.
It's perfect, as the pictures shows:
(New camera - Canon EOS M)
(Picture taken when I acquired it for the first time).
Now, let's see your unusual ones.
The selected team of judges are waiting for yours.
A great weekend to all,
Nilo
