Drawn to chronographs like a moth . . .

. . . to a flame, Andrew. They've got a coolness factor, like American muscle cars and Harleys. I've owned about half a dozen over the past dozen years simply because they appeal on a subliminal level.
Problem is, I never have an actual need to time any event, even coffee or eggs. The element of utility is totally absent. My only justification in owning one rests on horological merit. At the moment, there isn't a single chrono in my collection, and there isn't much likelihood of adding one in the near future. The most likely candidate would be a Longines 30CH . . .

. . . kinda like Steve's, only not quite as unique!
