The chronograph is arguably the most useful complication we can carry on our wrist. Next week marks the 44th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission where a simple mechanical Omega Speedmaster was used by Jack Swigert to time a critical 14 second course corr...
since I just took this photo for another post in the Seiko forum . Seiko's "fastest hand in the world" was on sale 22 years ago - half-way in time between now and the Apollo mission ... then for something completely different, Cazalea ...
But this is what I call a perfect time Nov 11 2011 11:11:11 It was shot at that moment, not faked. Therefore, I had only one chance! A perfect chronograph for me! Best, Joe ...
I feel the urge to post at least one Swedish femal actor here...! And to even have this kind of comparison without.... ...is for me unthinkable! But, then again - the answer would remain the same... BOTH! ;) HAGWE, dear Art Blomman ...

. . . to a flame, Andrew. They've got a coolness factor, like American muscle cars and Harleys. I've owned about half a dozen over the past dozen years simply because they appeal on a subliminal level. Problem is, I never have an actual need to time any e...
. . . but for the most part, Longines chronographs were successful aesthetically as watches per se . With practically every other manufacturer from the golden age, including my favorite, Omega, chronos come across as timekeepers with a special purpose. Un...
Art, this is really a pleasure to look at ! - your point of a " non-necessity" for a Chrono, is - as I would guess - probably applicable to many here; even more for eg: Flybacks.. Therefore, I truly believe, it must be another part of of brain (& heart) f...
if i remember correctly Nico, we did a speedy roll call about 4 years ago and got over 100 entrants. i know that wasnt all of the speedys owned by the forum at the time. we now have far more members so could we get to 200 in another roll call? i have 4 wh...
.. and in PT, which is, IMHO, far, far better than the more recent HG one.... LE of only 51, and this one has the very special number for a very special Lange customer.... can't say more..... And the "whipping" of the chrono hands when they come back to Z...

Great theme idea! Happy to join in with a few shots of my own. First, the wonderful Lange Datograph, but with a twist (both on the strap and the metal) -- rose gold rather than the "iconic" PT. This one recently departed from my collection, but lots of fo...
Close... Gotland! A small island west of Sweden. Not sure why, but it is included in the Kingdom of Sweden... ;) These stones was riaised in the Bronze age. Best Blomman ...
.. also liked a lot the pic backdrop, ground and setting ! May I ask, which period ? 40ies / 50 ies ? Apologies for my ignorance, as I'm not familiar with that brand.. Best & HAGWE to you & yours ! hs
Here is my (first) wristscan contribution: Girard Perregaux Richeville Chronograph, Ref 2750. Why this one? It was my first serious watch some 17 years ago, so it holds a special place in my heart. A classic chronograph with 2 subdials, no date display an...

Lovely chronograph pushers, and very legible despite the Tonneau case which can be challenging for designers. Congratulations on your long term companion. Andrew
number one is RG! It is one of my all time favorites and came from a good friend to top it off. It is always such a pleasure to see a relative in the wild. Best and great theme, Tim ...

This one is the boldest, the most "designed" chronograph I ever had the pleasure to wear: Concord C1, the original version not the diluted one that is currently offered: And my faithful tissot, a good travel companion outdoors: ... which did not leave me ...
Prior to space, huge efforts were made by manufactures to offer reliable wrist tool-watches for pilots. If Longines is the most obvious of all, there are some others, Gallet is one of them They produced in the early 40s this waterproof chronograph called ...
This is maybe going to be my favorite chrono ever, when I learn a bit more about the movement, about how they managed to combinate all the hands and saving friction energy. By the way, I saw your little interview on W.Anish with nice pictures it seems you...
look and test drive in January and it was hypnotic. The funding is currently the problem, but we will need to scheme and dream for now. It is in a word--Spectacular. Best to you Sir and no news from the Hawaiian artist, Tim
But i've tried to get as close as I can to the stars! I don't yet have a Dato, although that will be my ultimate chrono once the day comes where I can call one my own. In the meantime, I take my Speedy Pro with me whenever I need a dependable and rugged p...
Two Breitling chronographs the span the vintage era. Probably the first one button chronograph produced, this one dating from somewhere at the start of the Twenties and then a Breitling from the early Seventies, with the advent of Quartz heralding the dem...
Hi All Just the one chronograph for me - a Swatch Skin While it's quartz - really like the fact that it's so slim & the blue strap! Think it was one of those quick fixes a few years ago when just wanted a new watch. Now I'm a bit more patient! HAGWE C...
... being shown along this thread. I have an special fondness for chronos, and have accumulate a few interesting ones. So chosing just One favorite is a difficult task. I have settled in these two, both I like and love so much, and the Breguet has an addi...
She has the most sexiest dial on a watch. But sadly her big sz prevent me from wearing her on a regular basis Im preparing/waiting for a replacement. Soon I hope. Waited 1yr already Best Iceman
The sz is not suitable to the looks. Its a classic watch but with a sports watch size. Plus its flat which makes the watch feel even larger on my wrist. The dial is one of the most beautiful thou. Sad Iceman
.. Around what time is the Chronograph to be dated ? Were these issued/ used by regular units or only selected special military persons ? My best, and HAGWE ! hs
.. It will be 2 from (J)LC - Vintages and two others.. So, you see, I don't have many Chronos, but those I cherish deeply .. Thus without further much ado - here they are: First the 2 Jaeger (LC)'s: both lucky finds, One some time ago, one rather recently...
This complication has held a fascination since I was a small kid and watch teachers time races with mechanical stop watches. My first chronograph watch was an IWC Fleigerchrono mecaquartz in the early nineties, quickly followed up by a Brietling chronomat...
is one of quirkiest pieces I saw but lovely truly lovely one Didn't know you are chrono man ;) Sincerely yours Damjan P.S. Letting go that G O well how is this possible? :)
The Panograph... Which is surprising is that we don't often discuss that chronograph. It is so original, and nicely made! And the VC Les Historiques... A piece of Romantism. Thanks,Tim, for sharing them, even if sme of those have gone... Best, Nicolas
Chronograph, long power reserve, rotating bezel, great anti-reflective coating, bracelet and safety from leakage when a button is accidentally pushed while submerged. I cannot ask for more from this ultimate travel watch of mine. It has been going places ...
