The rhodium plating over Cotes de Geneve finish may have been for practical reasons related to corrosion, but the aesthetic results are amazing
Also for those interested in the technical side, I was fascinated by the competing bimetallic balances of these Observatory watches; one with Crausaz and the other Guillaume.

don't have a formally certified chronometer in my collection (yet). However, most of my GPs that I had serviced run well within the specs. I have even one GP that does not seem to gain/loose anything, statying within +/- 3 sec in a week if worn regularly....

The Longines 30B is fantastic. Do you have a see through back? Any photos to appreciate this beautiful movement, somewhat the link between 30Z and then 360 trying to augment size of balance and beats. Only around 80 were ever produced.
